Gordon, Dana & Gilmore is proud to share that attorney Charlie Shah has been elected to the Board of Trustees for the Tennessee-Alabama Region of Blood Cancer United (formerly the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society). Charlie will serve a two-year term running through June 2028.

For Charlie, this role is personal. His daughter Maya was diagnosed with leukemia at 17. She has now been in remission for seven years, and her experience is what first drew Charlie into volunteer work with the organization. His new role on the Board of Trustees is the next step in that ongoing commitment.

As a Trustee, Charlie will help guide the regional chapter's mission-critical work, from patient and family support to fundraising strategy, as Blood Cancer United continues its work toward curing blood cancer and improving quality of life for patients across Tennessee and Alabama.

"We're honored to have Charlie join our Board," said Randy Wilmore, Chair of the Tennessee-Alabama Board of Trustees. "His experience and dedication to the mission will be a tremendous asset to the patients and families we serve."

Charlie has built a career in tax law spanning nearly three decades. This new board role is a continuation of the same values he brings to his legal practice: reliability, hard work, and standing by the people who need it most.
